3 Days Trip from From Marrakech to Fes

Overview

Take an adventurous three-day trip through the Merzouga Desert, passing via the majestic Ait Ben Haddou Castle and Ouarzazate City. Spend a night in the Sahara desert, go on a camel trek, and take brief drives along the dunes.

Day One
Marrakech – Ait Ben haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Gorge dades

We depart Marrakech early in the morning and go across the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains to Ksar Ait Benhaddou, a walled village with stunning Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou has been used as a natural backdrop by numerous film producers. We'll go through Ouarzazate, the Skoura Palm Grove, and the Valley of Roses on the way to Dades after lunch. In Dades, we'll stay the night.

Day Two
Dades – Toudra gorges – Errisani - Merzouga

After breakfast, we'll leave for the Dades Gorges via the Dades Valley's vibrant Berber communities and the Road of 1000 Kasbahs. After seeing the beautiful palm grove in Tineghir, we continue to the Todgha Gorge, where we hike through gorges that are around 300 meters high and a well-liked location for mountain climbers. Then, after stopping for lunch en route, we'll go to the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert. Spend the night next to the Erg Chebbi Sahara dunes at a cozy hotel.

Day Three
Merzouga – Errachidia – Midelt – Azrou – Ifran - Fes

Early in the morning, we wake up to climb the sand dunes to watch the gorgeous sunrise. Pack the camels and return to the dune line, where you will take a shower and have breakfast. We Drive to Fez through Errachidia, Midelt's Ziz Valley. We continue to Azrou to visit Barbary macaques in the cedar forest. We will stop for lunch in Midelt. After that, we'll drive to Fes via Ifran. Our guide will make sure to drop you at the Riad or Hotel of your choice.
