Start your journey across Morocco in Marrakech before traveling to the desert for a night among the sand dunes. Hike through the Toudgha gorges, then carry on to the Ouzoud waterfalls.
Departure at 8:00 a.m; from your Marrakech hotel or Riad for the Atlas Mountains. We drive via Tizi N' Tichka Pass, which is 2,260 meters high. We leave the main road after the pass and take a side road to the Kasbah of Telouet. Then we travel through the Ounila Valley to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco's largest and oldest Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We have lunch in Ait ben Haddou and then wander into the Kasbah. After that, we continue our journey to Ouarzazate, where We check-in in a riad or hotel.
After breakfast, We drive south to Agdez. The Kasbahs of the Dra'a Valley begins here. Agdez has some of the oldest Kasbahs, as well as the Kasbah Tamnougalte. We continue to Tansikht through the old caravan road. We drive through the Bani mountains to the Merzouga sand dunes, passing through various Berber villages like N'Qob, Tazzarine, Elif, and Rissani. We will have lunch in one of the Berber villages. Then we head to Merzouga "erg Chebbi," where we will be greeted with a glass of mint tea. After tea break, We ride camels to the nomad camp to enjoy the sunset, folklore music around a campfire, and a great meal. We spend the night in a nomadic camp.
Wake up early to witness and enjoy the great view of the sunrise and the movements of the shadows playing on the sand dunes. Such An authentic spectacle. After breakfast, we move towards the gorge of Toudgha. While on the road, we travel through several Berber villages like Erfoud, a Berber town famous for its dates festival in October. As well as fossil workshops of all kinds. After lunch, we go for a walk through the gorge of Toudgha, and the gardens along the river. Dinner and stay in a guesthouse or hotel for the night.
Have breakfast, get ready, then drive north to Tamtattouchte, then to Imilchil. Imilchil is famous for the marriage festival, which takes place in September. The road is breathtaking, although it is slow and windy. Snow can make roads inaccessible in the winter. we keep driving to Kasbah Tadla. It is located on the left bank of the Oum There Rabia River. Soon after, we arrive in Beni Mellal, where we explore the Ain Asserdoun waterfalls. The falls are located in a well-kept and artistically planned park, and a panoramic view of the city and the lush plain with olive and orange trees can be seen from the "castle." On our trip to the picturesque Ben-El Ouidane, we continue our adventure back into the High Atlas. You can walk along the lake and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature. We continue our trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls after the hike. We eat dinner and stay in a hotel there.
After breakfast, you can walk to the Ouzoud waterfalls, one of Morocco's most magnificent natural beauty locations. Red cliffs, oleander, and pigeons can be seen in the surrounding landscape. You might be able to see some Barbary macaques if you're lucky. You can view the river stretching from the stunning waterfalls after a short hike to the top of the waterfall. On the road back to Marrakech, we drive through Ddemnate to Imi-n-Ifri, which means "entrance to the cave" in the local dialect. It is a natural rock bridge collapse formed by an underground cave system. We finally take a three-hour to your hotel or Riad in Marrakech, and there we end our Journey.
